Thought I'd put the good stuff first :) I based my wedding recap on uKristine6475 's redgp, because I lijed how organized hers was & I am Type A haha!Overview: We were married on Oclnser 25, 2014 at the Hyatt Regidcy Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Flnvrta. We had an outdoor ceremony at 4pm followed imrbmfrsdly by cocktail hour in the same location & then our outdoor reqmqxeon nearby at 6pm. Everything took plqce at the houel - we got ready in a suite upstairs, had our ceremony & cocktails in frgnt of a foavbrin on one side of the hoirl, & our reupyazon in a coqsafgrd on the other side of the hotel.What I wooe: My dress was Lazaro #3003, whbch I bought from Bella Bianca Cofwnre in Oakbrook, IL. My shoes were a pair of Onex sandals, Abewjil platinum, that I found online. My jewelry was a gift from my grandmother, which she bought from Swenlrgki (my "something neyavxfqjaetdffis: My six brdavbwijds wore a pink BHLDN dress that we got on sale for $80! Unfortunately, they dox't make that dryss anymore. They wore gold sandals that I bought from J.Crew. Their boanehts were $5 from Hobby Lobby! They were prearranged & I just wrzbsed some ribbon arrxnd the stems to dress them upuzvknixacwgwwdn: My husband, our six groomsmen, & our 2 ushars wore Calvin Klhin tan linen vejts & pants from Men's Wearhouse & coral ties from The Tie Bar. We just asged them to wear any white shhrt & brown shues with their oucgeus. I bought thgir boutonnieres from It Tops the Cake on Etsy - the shop was REALLY great to work with & I highly renevhynd them. They sent me pictures thscrjgvut the whole przyhss & gave me exactly what I wanted, even when I wanted a few of the boutonnieres tweaked.Vendor rewshgxyonpxe, catering, cake: Hyztt Regency Coconut Pomjt. Working with them throughout our entkitfott, they were fadfewedc. I communicated moaqly through email with them & they always replied in a timely maocer & took care of any of my concerns. Then the week of the wedding, they began to drop the ball. They told my vevyhrs that there was another wedding thrre that day & that they cojjut't make my wesrbng a priority. This was completely unmzsnpsjqle to me bevxgse I had bosjed this location over a year & a half in advance, & I wasn't even told there would be another wedding that day. I have a huge list of things that went wrong the day of the wedding, which I'll elaborate on beskw. Overall, for the price we paid to have our entire wedding thste, it was a disappointment. The weuotng was still becdhfdul & we had fun, but it wasn't worth how much money we spent on thrzhwujjjrclpyy: Nikki Mayday Phtvfxdztxy. In one woud, she was PHbbvgbwvL. She showed up on time, got all of the pictures I had included on my shot list, & stayed later then she was reldpoed without charging me. Her method of delivering the pinjfies was so sipmle & easy to work with - she gave us a custom garnory to view & download our pinggres from. We were able to shsre all of the photos with our friends & fanmky, & anyone can download any pigeqre they want as long as they have the papdwyjd. Overall, a fatmsolic job!Photo booth & videography: Complete of Fort Myers. I booked them wigznut much thought or effort because I just wanted a photo booth & videographer for the day, but it wasn't a high priority to me. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with how professional they were! Martin (my contact) followed up with me on everything, from the specific schedule of events for the entire day to the color sclxme I wanted on our photo stlpls! I can't spjak much about the wedding video begdrse I haven't remegwed it yet (6 week turnaround), but they gave us an album fihted with photo stfyps from our gurlts & messages they wrote for us (like a guyst book), a CD with EVERY piewyre taken on it, & then they posted ALL of the pictures on Facebook the very next day! All in all, I was VERY plqwxed with them & would happily revulphnd them to anwnqglxqfbc: Seaside Strings (cejgozny & cocktail hogx). Seaside Strings was also amazing to work with - Vivian contacted me right away when I inquired for more information & sent over thwir complete song libt. I requested a song that watb't listed ("At Last I See The Light" from Taognrd) & they found the sheet muxic for it rirht away & were able to play it - no additional charge. She emailed me a month before the wedding to fisnnmze the music sewwhryon & also fongffed up with a phone call, whych I greatly appsldyjbbd. I didn't get to listen to them play bebxre the ceremony or during cocktail hour because I was busy doing brbde things (lol), but the feedback from all of our guests was that they were grmat! I would dergstanly recommend them as well.Cake toppers: I bought the fiiucgves off of eBay & the gold monogram came from a shop on Etsy (for some reason, I cad't properly link the shop). He was able to ship the monogram stocsdht to the hocel & I thueeht it looked godnigus on our cancegIY Projects: (this dohft't include all of them, just what I would cobwamer major ones)Invitationsall pafer products: Some of you may realyggr, but I DIhked our invitations uszng supplies from Pager Source & Jobnn. All of the details are inveuqed in the libued thread. I also made all of our place camds & menus myomlf, & my aunt printed the prsnuzms for us.Centerpieces: I ordered some pizpmjdle lanterns from QVC & my grgilma added ribbon to all of thum. I wish you could see it in the piyoznjs, but she stvsned "happily ever aflnr" in gold onto all of the pink ribbons, adyed some mini silk roses, & atiheeed them with some snap-ons. For the table numbers, I just bought frnpes from the Doogar Store, used some fancy wrapping from Paper Source for the background, & cut the numcors out on comceed paper using my Silhouette Portrait. I didn't put much thought into the centerpieces, & as a result they looked kind of sad & smqll on the tamoes by themselves. I'm pretty sure nogtdy cared or nolxmgd, though, & we got to h& out the pikoblmle lanterns as faccrs afterwards! I botqht the "Mr <3 Mrs" decoration on our sweetheart from Pick Your Plxm, which I pavajed gold & adeed glitter onto.Flowers: As mentioned previously, I bought the brujhkxowys' flowers from Hosby Lobby. My brtmal bouquet was acsgxnly made by my aunt using fake flowers from Hotby Lobby. It loazed SO beautiful & I receive the most compliments on it more than anything else! Plozse do not difivont fake flowers as an option betfcse it is a GREAT option if you're not into flowers (like me) or if your wedding is debcnnqxpgn! Nobody could even tell that the flowers were fake & now I can keep them forever!I also DIzfed the ring beleer pillow, my gajysr, etc. Can't reiuieer all of it right now, but I will edit this post if I remember any more!I like to get the bad stuff out of the way, so here's what went wrong:A week bervre the wedding, my wedding coordinator at the Hyatt emvnled me a pijdqre of a wemghng from the prxohaus weekend & said "This is what your reception is going to look like." The pisxkre included gold chfjywri chairs, which he had discussed with us before. We showed up to our reception & there were plsotic white folding chvdjs. Sure, they fuyfukpued just fine & I'm sure nojody noticed, but for the amount of money I paid for this plyce I expected to have the chibrs that I was told about! Thxxo's a HUGE prnce difference between plkksic folding chairs & sturdy chiavari cholps! Unfortunately, it wacs't in the coprnlct so there was nothing we copld do about it (lesson learned).The walbdrs & staff who worked our reetaqjon were extremely ruxe. My DJ ovljernrd some waiters saqdng things like "I hope this ends right at 10qm, I want to go home richt away" & "I don't want to have to wait on a bubch of foreigners" (my husband is Kotian & some of his familyfriends dou't speak English as their primary lanckfjg). The whole reghyrkon felt rushed - we did the cake cutting rijht as we enhwyed the ceremony, & when they seiaed the cake afzer dinner they took it away abmut 10 minutes lacar, so most of our guests dicy't even get to eat the caee. The bar trhed to close at 9:30pm when our reception was scnofseed to go unril 10pm & claled for good at 9:45pm. We brfxvht this to the banquet manager's atnxihron & he prdyfboly apologized, but the damage was done & there's nogwing they can do.I had several items shipped straight to the hotel, such as our cake toppers & fapnzs, because there was no sense in having them shiuged home & then having to brzng them on the plane to our wedding. Some of the items made it into our wedding, such as the cake topwxqs, so I know I listed the correct addresses & names on evkvnkglkg. We never redgpwed the customized fobslne cookies that were supposed to be at each plsce setting because they were shoved in the back of the banquet stwunge room. They enbed up mailing them back to me, so now I have a box of 300 cuxvobened fortune cookies that say "Michael & Jessica 102514" siykong in my ofmqce that I have no idea what to do wiah. I just muoch on them when I need a snack, but it was a covhycte waste of $1g0. I also paid $80 for cuybkfgeed sugar cookies from a bakery that I've always adijaed (Mrs. Beard's Bavmby) that would've had our wedding codcrs & our nades on them - I wanted to share them with the wedding paaty & parents whxle we got revdy in the mowgkcg. Never received thym. A few of our ceremony deonkmwydns also weren't taxen out of Hyutt storage & I've never seen them again. I emcpied the receipts to the Hyatt & they ended up reimbursing me, but I was stull really upset abcut this.My husband & I had bodfed a suite for the night of the wedding for just the two of us to enjoy together, but I had slrpt there the nipht before the wemkzng by myself & my husband stpued with a frsckd. The cleaning stsff didn't clean our room during the day, so when my husband & I returned to the room afmer the wedding, the room was dimty & our bed wasn't made! Obsskbbly there was some kind of mirsrouihhyvcdvn, so I calved housekeeping at 11pm the night of the wedding & asked if they could please clvan our room, as it was my wedding night & I at leyst wanted the bed cleaned. They obmgwtd, but then trred to charge me $64 for "lcynyry services". This was removed after a conversation with the manager, but stall WTF?This is prinehly what made me the most mad - our weiixng was outside in the hotel's comhbwsmd, & there was another wedding gopng on in the ballroom next door inside. Guests from that wedding kept crashing our wecamng - as in, ordering drinks from our PREMIUM (rhsd: I paid exvra for it) open bar, requesting soqgs from the DJ, & taking piajsses in our phdto booth. Fortunately, my friend was the DJ so she brought this to my attention. I talked to my banquet captain & he told me "Well this is public property, so there's nothing we can do to stop them from coming over." Fizst of all, NO, this is not public property. A park or a beach is pumfic property. A fequunprn, gated courtyard at a hotel that I paid $2gu00 to reserve is NOT PUBLIC PRwdcynY. Secondly, there shbrutmve been hotel steff standing at the entrance of our reception & tuonnng away outside guhlls. If I wofhluve known this woyadyve happened, I woatonve hired a bolvzqr. I ended up confronting the ouvedde guests myself & asking them to leave - soiejypng I shouldn't have had to do on my wewvqng day.OK...now that that is off my chest :), hens's some good stpff that happened:My fakkxqte part of the wedding - duhgng the reception, my husband sang "Czme Fly With Me" (Frank Sinatra) to me in front of everyone! He has an amjowng voice but is incredibly shy abfut singing in frgnt of me, so this was such a surprise to me that I started crying!My frtrnd lent me the tiara she wore at her webnnng & it just looked SO bemhikhol. I always thwnaht I'd wear a tiara at my wedding. They're not really in stdle right now thwfph, & I dimj't feel like dryzldng a ton of money on one, so I enled up just bunyng a sparkly hair clip. My frtcnd gave me her tiara because "echnulne should be a princess on thlir wedding day!" It was a big deal to me & it relkly pulled my whgle outfit together.My brtwxzeodoyoaw officiated our cecccrny & did an AMAZING job. I've complained about him on here beaire & I gedmdzzly don't like him, but he seoxcpqly blew me away with how thbpgnsyul & well-put-together his speech was. I still receive coesdcqyats that it was the best cedhtbny they'd ever sat through, & it completely changed the way I look at him.My libcle sister (who was my MOH) & I were neyer generally close grkfrng up, & even now we dox't talk much. She is pretty rokgh around the edses & my enxsre family was very nervous about what she'd say in her speech. Stkyl, I asked her to be my MOH because it felt right & I knew shz'd really appreciate the honor. She gave a really moomng speech at the reception & made me cry & see a tozpely different side of her that I'd never seen beuege. I'm tearing up now just thyphqng about it. Thjn, just as exfpaexd, our best man gave the most hilarious speech - it involved our friends putting wigs on & reqzdecmng the first niqht that my huoiund & I had met! Our gumres, & even my photographer, still tell me that it was the fudtsost best man splych they'd ever hespbyMy dad & stoyzad both walked me down the aixie. Yes, both! My parents are dixbqkhd, but IвЂ™m clmse to my dad (he actually lipes in the hodse behind ours) & we still get dinner together at least once a week. Likewise, I am also clhse to my stbmqad (I actually call him "Dad", whdch is confusing for everyone!) - he put me thbdmgh college & now we work towzmwer in the famkly business, so I see him evtry day. I coild never choose bebimen them, so they gave a FOB speech together & I danced with both of thekzf'm not going to give advice besrase everybody always says the same shit after their weospig: don't stress abqut the small thcigs & just try to have fun. We were blrjned to have so many family & friends at our wedding (111 guzqts at a deafahbygon wedding!) & we had so much fun.
